Cephalotaxus harringtonia 'Prostrata', also known as Spreading Japanese Plum Yew is a dark green evergreen shrub that performs very well in the south. With long, dark green needles and low mounding habit, Prostrata works excellent when planted to dress up a foundation or planted in masses. Excellent for filling under tree canopies and areas shaded by tall buildings and can work well as a low hedge plant with an added bonus of deer resistance.
