Osteospermum Bright Lights™ Red, also known as African Daisy, is a heat tolerant annual that features large red daisy-like flowers with a mounded habit. The stems hold up the flowers for a great flower presence. Deadheading is not necessary for a continuous bloom. Plants will "bury their dead" (new flowers will quickly cover old flowers) so no deadheading necessary. Bright Lights Osteospermum do not like having wet feet and will react badly to constantly wet soil. Be sure to allow soil in containers to get dry on top before watering and only plant Bright Lights in ground beds with good drainage. While it shouldn't be necessary you can trim your plants with a sharp pair of scissors or pruning shears at any time. Bright Lights are great in both landscapes and containers.
