The Southern Lights at The Gardens of Southeastern North Carolina

At The Gardens of Southeastern North Carolina, we are committed to providing an enjoyable holiday experience for every guest. As a nonprofit botanical garden, every ticket purchased directly supports our mission of improving lives by cultivating inspiration. Please review the following ticket, transfer, and refund policies before purchasing.

1. Weather Policy

The Southern Lights is a rain-or-shine event. However, The Gardens of Southeastern North Carolina reserves the right to delay, reschedule, or cancel an event due to severe weather or other conditions that may affect the safety of our guests, staff, or volunteers.

Decision Timing: If an event must be canceled due to severe weather, a decision will be made by 2:00 PM on the day of the event whenever possible. Ticket holders will be notified via text message and email using the contact information provided during checkout.

Rescheduled Events: If your event is rescheduled, your tickets will remain valid for the new date. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, you may transfer your tickets to another available Southern Lights event within the same calendar year, subject to availability.

Canceled Events: If an event is canceled and no rescheduled date is offered, you may choose one of the following:

• Receive a full refund of your ticket purchase, or
• Donate the value of your tickets to support The Gardens of Southeastern North Carolina and our nonprofit mission.

2. Ticket Transfers

Need to change your visit date? No problem!

Guests may transfer their tickets to another available The Southern Lights event date within the same calendar yearby using the “Change Your Event Time” link included in their SimpleTix confirmation email.

Please note:

• Ticket transfers must be completed at least 24 hours before your scheduled event.
• The self-service transfer link is automatically disabled within 24 hours of your event.
• Transfers are subject to availability, and some dates may sell out.
• Tickets may only be transferred within the current Southern Lights season and cannot be moved to a future event year.

3. Refund Policy

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable, except when The Gardens cancels an event without offering a rescheduled date.

Because every ticket purchase helps support our nonprofit mission, refunds are not available for:

• Schedule conflicts
• Missed events
• Changes in personal plans
• Failure to attend
• Weather conditions when the event remains open

If you are unable to attend your scheduled event, we encourage you to transfer your tickets to another available date in accordance with the Ticket Transfer Policy above.

4. Policy Changes

The Gardens of Southeastern North Carolina reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. Any updates will be posted on our website and will apply to ticket purchases and cancellation requests made after the revised effective date.
